From the receptive age of 4, Malissa Posyananda has been passionate about expressing her affecting visions and sensations through a variety of creative outlets: drawing, video, animation, sound, and digital art. Malissa draws much of her inspiration from abstract art and her own personal experience with synesthesia. It is her constant sensory intercommunication that has led her to this philosophy:

"In one form or another, art is a part of daily life. It's in every place and everything that can be sensed, and I've never been bothered to regard it in some formal way. It's fascinating, but it just comes naturally, this everyday miracle of art."

Malissa studied at Arizona State University and earned a BFA in Intermedia. Her work has been showcased in exhibitions and conferences in Arizona and New Mexico. As for her future artistic endeavors, Malissa looks to experiment with new media and take part in collaborative works.
